ROSALIE ALEKSANDRA ANTER

With the series Bodyscapes, I wanted to overcome the stigma around the sexualization of the Female Nude and take ownership of the female body. I wanted to capture the beauty in the harmonious waves of the female figure. My interest was to challenge “the Male Gaze” and to create pieces that came from a woman’s point of view regarding the female nude.
Being objectified for having breasts, a feminine physique, as most women, I wanted to create a safe and soft environment where one can look at the body from a natural lens. I imagined it by presenting moments for the viewer to look at the body like they could look at a tree or a mountain in nature, observing the form and appreciating its beauty.
